Fama is an AI based solution that helps companies limit the incidence of sexual harassment in the workplace, and similar, crippling issues such as abusive behavior and insider threats. We do this by applying machine learning to publicly available online information and internal HR data.

We can solve this by applying AI to massive, unstructured data sets. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

We are currently seeking a self-starter who has a strong interest in office management and human resources to run the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced startup in Los Angeles, CA. This position is meant to serve as a launchpad into a human resources management role as Fama continues to grow, expand and have a larger need for a dedicated HR professional. The role provides an opportunity to work alongside our CEO and other department heads to support all facets of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and property management, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time

  • Manage internal staff relations

  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory

  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment (this includes technical, data, and office security)

  • Provide general support to visitors

  • Organize company-wide meetings and outings

  • Executive assistant to the CEO (manage schedule, travel and assist in writing briefs, speeches, presentations, etc.)

  • Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office

  • Manage payroll and accounts payable

  • Organize on-boarding and training of new staff members 

Requirements

  • 1-2 yrs of experience in human resources or administrative role

  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field
